OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
• Our neighborhood is beautiful and very historic! Many of the homes were built for other whaling merchants, ship captains and wealthy families in the 1800s.
• We are a quick 5-10min walk to downtown, where you’ll find restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, museums, and the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center. You can also drive and use the on street parking meters (free on the weekends).
• The ferry to Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Cuttyhunk Island is on the pier downtown too, a short 1mi walk or drive. It’s an easy ferry ride to these islands, and a beautiful excursion during the warm months.
• We are also convenient to many area venues including the New Bedford Whaling Museum, Rotch Jones Duff House Museum, Kilburn Mill, Shining Tides, Bittersweet Farms and more.
